Support for devastated Cystic Fibrosis services in New Zealand: can you help?
Following the recent devastating earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand, we were relieved to hear that all of the staff at the charity CF New Zealand and families affected by CF are alive and safe, although many of them have lost friends, their homes and in some cases, relatives.
However, CF New Zealand's office was located in a building that took a big hit which has meant that the staff have had to move out and find temporary premises. Christchurch Hospital has also been severely compromised, meaning that some CF families have had to leave the city to ensure their specialist CF care continues. There is also a toxic dust cloud full of ecoli and pseudomonas that is floating around the city as the recovery continues.
CF New Zealand would like to be in a position to assist these families where they can and are asking the international CF community for help. If you feel you could make a donation or help in any way at all, please click here for more information.
Thank you.
