Singleton Park Walk
Swansea, West Glamorgan
Sunday 29 June 2008, 11am

Where? Please meet at the north western entrance of Singleton Park, off Sketty Lane and near Sketty Hall. Parking is available off Sketty Lane, opposite Singleton Park Hospital and, given the time of day, should not be too busy.
When? Sunday 29 June 2008, registration will open at 10am and the walk will start at 11am. However, we may ask that participants walk in groups of no more than four abreast to start and in twos at designated places.
How long is the walk? The walk is approximately 5K in length and should take about 50 minutes at a brisk pace. The shorter route is about 3K and should take 30 minutes at a brisk pace. The route will be along the dedicated pathways available and will pass by the Botanical Gardens - why not take a visit as you pass by - entry is free.
What will I need to take? Please bring a picnic with you on the day.
Is there anything else I need to know?

  • Trust representatives will have a route map available at registration plus any other relevant information.
  • The walk is mostly on level ground but there is a slight gradient to return to the finish. Pathways are regularly maintained by the parks authority, but we will inform walkers of any places where care should be taken on the day.
If you are able to advertise the walk by placing posters in your community e.g. work and school notice boards, local shops, clubs and pubs etc. or passing on leaflets to family, friends and colleagues, I would be really grateful. To help, or if you have any questions, please contact me - details below.
