"The way to beat CF is through medical research..."

Cystic Fibrosis Trust Patron Jenny Agutter explains why she has decided to leave a gift in her will to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

"My niece Rachel is a very beautiful and talented and fun young woman who happens to have Cystic Fibrosis. As her aunt, I have watched her develop and grow, facing all of life's challenges with grace. I am fiercely proud of her and the way that she tackles the extra obstacles that life presents. She lives life to the full, has enormous energy and great spirit.

However, the daily medical regime of CF is extremely tough and staying well is the number one priority. Plans for the future are always uncertain, and as we all know, can cause considerable anxiety for people with CF and their families.

I believe that the way to beat CF is through medical research. The greatest gift I can give to Rachel is to support the scientists and doctors who are making so much excellent progress in the search for a treatment. That's why I'm leaving a gift to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in my will."
