Past Supporters
B&Q
We were delighted to be chosen as one of B&Q's official charities for 2007. Staff fundraising and store collections combined to raise the fantastic total of £112,000. We are so grateful to all the staff at B&Q and the CF Trust volunteers who helped make this happen.
SJ Berwin
SJ Berwin LLP chose for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust to be their Charity of the Year for 2006-2007.
The partnership between SJ Berwin LLP and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust successfully raised money to fund the training of a Cystic Fibrosis consultant at the Brompton Hospital in London, providing much needed specialist care for people with CF both.
At the beginning of the partnership, Niamh Grogan, the partner responsible for the firm's relationship with the CF Trust, said: "We are very excited and proud to be working alongside the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and have received tremendous support and enthusiasm, as well as fundraising ideas from staff around the firm. We have very high hopes for raising a significant amount of money and awareness for this well deserved cause and truly hope to make a difference to lives of people with CF."
SJ Berwin LLP is a pan-European law firm with offices in Berlin, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Paris and Turin. With over 150 partners and 500 lawyers, they advise on a comprehensive range of legal services including Corporate Finance, Commercial, Real Estate, Banking, Reconstruction & Insolvency, Financial Services, Litigation, Intellectual Property, Employment & Pensions, EU & Competition and Tax.
Tesco
As part of the continued commitment of Tesco to support local communities, each year a charity is adopted to be the main focus of staff fundraising activities.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust was chosen as charity of the year for 2002. Tesco staff fundraising and in-store promotions have raised nearly £2 million. Tesco concluded their support with the euro triathalon in October 2003 and we were joint beneficiaries with Banardos for the event.
Centrica
In April 2001, Roy Gardner, Centrica Chief Executive was pleased to announce that:
"Centrica employees have nominated the Cystic Fibrosis Trust as their Employee Charity of the Year. The Breathing Life partnership aims to breathe life into the Cystic Fibrosis community by helping to raise vital funds for ongoing treatment and research. I am confident that we can work together this year to raise £150,000 for the CF Trust. We've made a wonderful start and, with our continued help, the CF Trust can maintain support for sufferers and carers, and fund research to identify a cure for this disease. We want to touch the lives of children and adults who are affected by Cystic Fibrosis and make their futures brighter. Here's to a successful partnership and an enjoyable year of fundraising".
Centrica's support for the CF Trust extended beyond the Breathing Life fundraising partnership with the launch of an exciting new project. British Gas Trading and the CF Trust devised an initiative to help people with Cystic Fibrosis, who are of an employment age, to enter the workplace.
Centrica ran IT courses for people with Cystic Fibrosis which covered Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
The total raised for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust by Centrica was just under £500,000.
