Yorkshire 10k
Location: York, North East & West
Date: May 2011 - exact date tbc
Congratulations and thank you to everyone joining us at the sixth Yorkshire 10k set in the beautiful surroundings of Newby Hall Estate, near Ripon in North Yorkshire with its 25 acres of award winning gardens.
This mainly trail and off road route may not be the fastest or flattest but the feedback from runners each year is that it is inspiring and the atmosphere superb.
The sun shone again on 16 May 2010 as our 10k and 2k runners, of all ages and abilities, joined us for their respective runs.
Leeds City AC took 1st and 2nd spot in the 10k with Martin Hilton taking the tape in 32:19 followed by Mike Burrett in 32:44. The first lady runner home was again Keziah Paxton of Thirsk & Sowerby Harriers with a faster time this year at 40:12. The 2k fun run was won by Joshua Stockdale and Megan Degazon was the first young lady to cross the finish line coming in fourth overall.
Please check out the
results of both runs.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is very grateful to the continued support of Up & Running, Newby Hall Estate, BBC Radio York, Thirsk & Sowerby Harriers and many other wonderful volunteers for their help and support in organising this event again for you.
