White Cliffs of Dover Walk

Location: White Cliffs Of Dover (Langdon Cliffs)
Date: Sunday 13 June 2010

Taking steps to cure Cystic Fibrosis
Time: 10:30am

Where?
Please meet at the The National Trust Visitor centre, White Cliffs, Upper Road, Dover CT16 1HJ. There will be a parking charge of £3 per day.

How long is the walk? This is a circular walk to the South Foreland Lighthouse and back, a distance of 4 miles, however you can continue onto St Margarets Bay and back to walk 6 miles.

What will I need to take? Please bring with you a picnic or refreshments, and sunscreen if the weather is good as the route is quite exposed.

Is there anything else I need to know? The walk will provide stunning views over the port of Dover across to France, however it will be across uneven and undulating ground, suitable footwear is therefore advised. It is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs, however dogs are welcome on a lead.

Apply Online: Entry for this walk is £6 per adult and £2.50 per child (16 and under on the day of the walk). Simply apply online using the link below, you will then receive your free Great Strides t-shirt and sponsorship pack to begin your fundraising.

Every effort will be made to ensure that the walk is safe and enjoyable; however, anyone taking part in this walk does so at their own risk.

If you are able to advertise the walk by placing posters in your community e.g. work and school notice boards, local shops, clubs and pubs etc. or passing on Great Strides leaflets to family, friends and colleagues, I would be very grateful. To help, or if you have any questions, please contact me on the details below.

Good luck on your walk and I'll see you there.
