Taking steps to cure Cystic Fibrosis
Taking place on Palm Sunday and the first day of Summer, this unique new walk takes you through rarely opened private parkland. There is a cross-country 2 hour walk or a more leisurely, shorter walk on tarmac; both walks take in gorgeous views of the lake and river. The day finishes with a Cornish Cream Tea and an Easter Egg Hunt.

Date: Sunday 28 March 2010

Time: Registration midday with all walkers to be away by 1.30. Your walk should be complete by 3:30pm in time for Cornish Cream Tea.

Where? Registration will be clearly signed from the entrance.

How long is the walk? 5 miles

What will I need to take? Flat comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. The walk takes place over gravel, field and hard core surfaces and there are one or two hills.

Is there anything else I need to know?
  • Car Parking is free and will be clearly signed.
  • Entrance is free
  • There will be a 5-mile walk over fields with some hard core and a shorter walk on tarmac for buggies and wheelchairs.
  • There will be toilets at the registration point.
  • Dogs on leads are welcome.
  • The walk will end with a Cornish Cream Tea and an Easter Egg Hunt for the children.
  • At the registration point you will be given a map and any safety details for the day. There will be a raffle too.
  • In the event of adverse weather conditions please contact the event organiser between 9am and 10 am on the day - details below.
  • Please ensure you check in before and after your walk, there will be walk marshals in fluorescent jackets to make this process easy.

Every effort will be made to ensure that the walk is safe and enjoyable; however, anyone taking part in this walk does so at their own risk.
