ENGLAND & WALES DETAILS

Date: Sunday 24 June 2012

Time: Registration 10 am - last walkers start at 11am

How long is the walk? 8Km from each side and back again, alternatively, for a shorter walk, why not walk halfway across then return to the registration point?

What will I need to take?
Flat comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Remember, it can be much windier in the middle of the bridge so make sure clothing can be secured.

Is there anything else I need to know?
  • Please park as near as possible to the registration desk which will be clearly visible when you arrive at the car park.
  • There are some steps on the English side as you exit from the bridge over the toll plaza so the full walk isn't suitable for wheelchairs, but access is possible for wheelchairs up to that point. However, as there are only a few steps, the route is suitable for pushchairs.
  • There will be a raffle on the day and there will be some refreshments available at registration.
  • In the event of adverse weather conditions please contact the event organiser on the appropriate mobile phone number between 8am and 9am on the day - details below.
  • Please ensure you check in before and after your walk and at the opposite bank registration point if applicable.
Walk Entry: Entry is £6 per adult and £2.50 per child; you'll receive a free t-shirt on the day of your walk. There are a number of ways to enter:-

1) Online - simply click on the button below (you will only be able to enter and pay for one person at a time).
2) Call & pay by credit card - please call the Events Team on 0300 373 1100 and we will process your entry over the phone.

Every effort will be made to ensure that the walk is safe and enjoyable; however, anyone taking part in this walk does so at their own risk.

If you are able to advertise the walk by placing posters in your community eg. work and school notice boards, local shops, clubs and pubs etc, or passing on an entry form to family, friends and colleagues, I would be very grateful.
