The highest freestanding mountain in the world, Mt Kilimanjaro is also the highest mountain on the African continent at 5,896m. Its snow-capped summit rises high above the dusty African plains with huge permanent glaciers flow down from the summit Uhuru Peak. Spectacular views and beautiful ice formations are the reward for pushing your limits both physically and mentally.

This is a challenging trek at altitude, climbing one of the most impressive, well-known mountains in the world, camping as you ascend. In return for a minimum sponsorship pledge you can take part in this fabulous event.

DAY 1: Fly London to Kilimanjaro airport
DAY 2: Transfer to Moshi town ready to explore Kibo
DAY 3: Begin trekking the Machame route first climb to 3100m
DAY 4: Ascend through forest on the Shira Plateau camp at 3840m
DAY 5: Pass underneath the Lava Tower and Western Breach (acclimatisation time)
DAY 6: Trek the Great Barranco ravine towards Karanga Valley
DAY 7: Ascend towards summit glaciers, sun rise at Stella Point crater rim at 5750m
DAY 8: Gentle trek back down to rain forest and Mweka - receive certificate of ascent!
DAY 9: Time to explore town of Moshi - flight to Addis Ababa
DAY 10: Flight Addis Ababa to Heathrow
