The Great East Swim is an exciting open-water swim taking place in the clean waters of Alton Water Reservoir near Ipswich, set aside 600 acres of beautiful countryside. With an impressive Farmers' Market too, it's set to be another fantastic event.

Safe in the knowledge that expert kayakers and safety boats are with you every stroke of the way, whether you're new to outdoor swimming or highly experienced, please join us at what promises to be another fabulous swim challenge.

In spring 2012 we aim to head into a multi-dose clinical trial to replace the faulty gene that causes CF with a healthy copy. This trial will last for at least one year. We are leading the world with this ground-breaking research that has the potential to prevent the development of the lung damage that causes 90% of deaths from Cystic Fibrosis.

Joining Team CF in the Greats Swims will help us to ensure this vital research can go ahead.
