Bodnant Gardens Walk
Location: Tal-y-Cafn, Nr Colwyn Bay, Conwy, North Wales
Date: Saturday 11 September 2010
Time: Please arrive between 10am and 11:30am to register for the walk. Maps and day entry tickets will be issued at registration.
Where? Registration is situated in the Volunteer cabin near the entrance.
How long is the walk? There are several routes to choose from ranging from 1.5 to 9 miles.
What will I need to take? Due to the historical nature of the paths and steps please wear suitable outdoor footwear. There are refreshments available at the Pavilion Tearooms, however please bring a picnic if you wish as there are designated areas in the car park, no food is allowed into the garden and any drinks must be in plastic bottles.
Is there anything else I need to know? There will be a competition for children taking part in the walk and a raffle will also take place. Dogs are not allowed except for guide dogs. Due to the presence of ponds and water features, children must be properly supervised at all times.
Apply Online: Entry is £6 per adult and £2.50 per child, and you won't need to pay for entry into Bodnant Gardens; you'll receive a free t-shirt too. Simply apply online using the button below.
Every effort will be made to ensure that the walk is safe and enjoyable; however, anyone taking part in this walk does so at their own risk.
If you are able to advertise the walk by placing posters in your community eg. work and school notice boards, local shops, clubs and pubs etc, or passing on Great Strides leaflets to family, friends and colleagues, I would be very grateful. To help, or if you have any questions, please contact me on the details below.
