Sixty Five Roses

The phrase 'sixty five roses' comes from a small child's attempt to pronounce Cystic Fibrosis.

It is ironic that such a choice of words is now commonly used by the English-speaking community to raise money for the cruel genetic condition Cystic Fibrosis.

Sixty Five Roses Balls have become very popular and now take place in many parts of the UK. The original Sixty Five Roses Ball was held in Whitehall, London in 1998. These wonderful events have helped both raise the profile of Cystic Fibrosis and also raised many hundreds of thousands of pounds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust over the years.

In addition the supermarket chain Asda took the theme of Sixty Five Roses and created two specially designed T-shirts that were a sell-out in their stores during 2005 and which raised over £30,000 for the Trust.
