CF Trust Message Board - important announcement

Dear all
The message boards are for everyone and we're committed to providing an atmosphere in which constructive and mature dialogue takes place. Recent posts by some users are possibly alienating people who need our support, advice and friendship.
The forum is a valued resource for all people with CF and the wider public - we have received great feedback but continued abuse on the forums will result in the CF Trust reviewing this service.
We will suspend accounts that do not comply by the house rules.
You can be assured that both Tom Martin and myself do monitor the boards on a daily basis.

House Rules
We've established these House Rules so that everyone can get the most out of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust Message Boards. These rules protect all users by making sure the boards are safe and fun for everyone.
About your posts
Keep your contributions civil, tasteful and relevant. We're committed to providing an atmosphere in which constructive and mature dialogue takes place, Therefore:
A: No flaming - either in the message boards or via e-mailto a user. Unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually orientated, racially offensive, or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable.
B: Be patient. Users of all ages and abilities will be taking part in these Message Boards.
C: We do not allow spamming. Don't cross post your messages to more than one discussion, or post off-topic messages.
D: No advertising.
E: No spoilers - messages that contain plot developments, which haven't yet been transmitted on terrestrial television, will be deleted.
F: Posts containing other languages other then English may be removed.
About the law
A: You may not post any defamatory or illegal material of any nature in the Message Boards. This includes text, graphics, video, programs or audio. Posting a message with the intention of committing an illegal act is strictly prohibited.
B: You agree to only post materials to which you have the copyright or other permission to distribute electronically. You may not violate, plagiarise or infringe on the rights of the third parties including copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, personal, publicity, or property rights.
About your privacy
A: The Cystic Fibrosis Trust will not publish or provide your e-mail address to anyone. Our registration process requires you to supply us with your e-mail address but we will only use this information to validate your access to the discussions and other service administration purposes. The CF Trust complies with the 1998 Data Protection Act.
If you are under 18
A: Please get your parent's permission before taking part in any CF Trust discussion.
B: Never reveal any personal information about yourself (for example: your home telephone number or home/e-mail address) without getting your parents permission first.
If you fail to do abide by these House Rules you will be formally warned by e-mail. This warning may include a temporary suspension of your ability to participate in any or all of the Message Boards. If after this warning you continue to breach the Rules, you will be prohibited from using the discussions for an extended period of time.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust reserves the right to delete any posting, at any time, for any reason.
