Hi shelbert! my name is Helen and my son also has cf, I was just wondering, as we're from the same area which hospital u attend and who is ur consultant, as we are still with paeds i was interested to see where we go after that? helen.x

Hi Helen

Please forgive me sorry i took so long to reply, was just browsin the site there and got your msg.

At the moment i attend Gartnavel General Hospital in Glasgow and my consultant is Doctors Ross and Bicknell - both male and extremely nice and very helpful, been goin there since i was 14, before that i went to Yorkhill - is that where you son attends now? How old is he? I hope he is doin well and lookin forward to Christmas, i'm sure he will attend Gartnavel when he is old enough to switch over, its the Cystic Fibrosis unit for Scotland i think, don't quote me, i could be wrong - i do know people also attend Edinburgh.

When its time for the switch over your current hospital will have a talk with you and explain everything, Gartnaval is great, staff are a lot of fun, will prolly take a while to get use to change as i'm sure your son will have made a lot of friends where he attends now.
