I did too, tears of joy that this drivel will no longer darken my pleasure on a Saturday night.

I know I could have changed channel but do remember I'm a masochist.

As for the winner's new single - the most frightfully forgettable thing since, er, um...

I'm sure I would have cried if I watched it.

No, wait, I wouldn't. Cos I'm a man. I don't cry. Ever.

BTW - who won?

Leona, which I think was quite well deserved as she has the most amazing voice. Shame about the lack of personality which Ray has millions of!

To be honest, I quite liked Ray, but I have no doubt he'll have an album out at some point. And although Leona has a lush voice, she can be quite boring to watch....

But that's just my opinion...

(Not that I watched it or anything....... Uhem......)

Saturday night TV died a death years ago. Thats why we get all this "Reality TV". Unfortunately thats what we all seem to want to watch. I would love a really nice family comedy and/or an entertainment show and then a great film (just like the old days) but it doesn't bring in the viewers.

Bring back the generation game I say! Although Ant & Dec are quite watchable when they're on.

I just "surf" Sky TV to find something worth watching. Not that I always find something, and if I do its sometimes on UKGold and repeats of good comedy i.e. Only Fools, Ab Fab, Good Life etc.

I was so glad that Leona won, very few people can sing like she does, and that deserves to be recognised.Maybe to some people it's rubbish, but for a girl younger than myself,it's making her dreams come true even if it may only be for a short time.

You know i'm so glad i'm not the only one who shed a tear

It all started last week when i saw Ray singing 'You'll never walk alone' by the time he had finished i couldn't even see him on the tv my eyes were so swollen and soaked, i was actually quite surprised at my reaction as its just a talent show but his performance really moved me.

This whole series since Leona's audition i have been backing her all the way and even have her video on my bebo but it occured to me last week the the show is called x factor and altho she has an amzingly fabulous voice the same can't be said for her personality and if anyone has the x factor between the 2 it has to be Ray, he's such a cheeky chappy, he had me in stitches especially his performance with Westlife, he looked like he'd been doing it for years.

I was really quite deflated that he never made right to the end as he certainly gave her a run for her money, i guarantee tho that i'll be out there buying both albums when they hit the shops as they both gave a great final and wish them all the luck.

It was fabulous tv.

Merry Crimbo everyone.

The best thing on the box on a Saturday night these days is on BBC2 and its Top of the Pops 2 which features real singers with talent and one or two naff acts now and again but the nostalgia is grrreat.

Ahhh, the good old days
