Hi,

Please can you inform me that if I want to go on holiday what I need to do in terms of taking my nebuliser & medicines including the one that needs to stay cold. I don't want the authorities to think I'm carrying a bomb or illegal drugs.

Manyt thanks & merry christmas.

I get a letter from the CF team which says explains you are carrying the neubiliser for treatment of CF and which lists the medication you are taking with you. I guess you could get this from your GP as well. I also let the Airline know that we are carrying the neubiliser, which we've been advised to carry as handluggage.

Not sure about how you keep your meds cold guess it depends where you are staying.

Hope this helps.

For the cold one...you should obviously be staying in a hotel or similar that has a fridge in the room It. if doesn't have one, ask very nicely at reception if you can use their fridge.

For transporting..I always use a small thermos bag with a few ice packs in it. Lasts a good few hours

Another idea for transporting is a frio bag. I got one in Lloyds chemist -

If you fill in the request form, the CF Trust will do you a letter to take with you that explains the condition and the medication you are carrying. You can request the letter be written in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese or Greek:
