Has anyone has these tablets (Aminophylline Hydrate/ Phyllocontin)? I've had a rough time with my chest, by my standards, recently- and was put on these in the hope of improving my asthma after my chest continued to deteriorate after IVs, oral abs and steroids. My chest in now feeling absolutely fantastic, and i'm presuming it's the result of this new medication. It's amazing what one takes for granted until you have to live without it isn't it? I feel so lucky to be able to breathe again now and was just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this medication.
I went for a jog tonight and my joints hurt more than my chest Yay!
Just had to share this with people who would appreciate just why i'm so very excited, and hope that maybe it can help someone else

Hi j j, I too am asthmatic so have been on IV aminophylline lots of times and have also been on a tablet called uniphyllin (spl) which is of the same family or drugs as aminophylline and i found great benifits from them with tightness and wheezing but i have big troubles in regulating my levels so am not on them anymore. I wonder if the levels problem is due to lack of absorbtion of the drug though? I'm not sure

I've been on it for quite a few years, didn't used to notice much of an affect but I am pretty sure it helps now. There was another similar one I was on for a while (singulair?) which I dont take any more. They are good for small airway problems
