Advice Needed Please

My 5 year old daughter has for the last 12 months been receiving 3 monthly IV's to treat Psuedo's. At the commencement of the IV's, she was also prescribed nebulised Columicin?, but the psuedo was resistant to it, so that was stopped. The psuedo is now sensitive to Colistin?, & we have asked whether she could be prescribed the medication & an I-Neb. The expert opinion is that there is no evidence that nebulised Colistin does anything to treat psuedo's. Therefore, it is proving difficult to obtain the Colistin/I-Neb!!!
Does anyone have any advice? Thanks

I was under the impression that colomycin and colistin are exactly the same thing

As far as I'm aware, colistin, colistimethate, and colomycin are all different names for the same thing!

To obtain an ineb your GP has to be willing to prescribe Promixin which is more expensive than colistin. They are all the same drug, colomycin, but different brand names.
