HEAT TREATMENT.........ANYONE REMEMBER IT????

As a lad I was subjected to regular heat treatment sessions at a local Hospital to my nose area,as directed by Gt Ormond St. It was to prevent nasal polyps recurring, as I was having about 4 ops a year then to remove them. It seemed to be some sort of X ray machine , but I was a boy so not sure.Any one help??
I am a doctor and can find nil on it in publications!!

Notheard about the one for polyps, but there starting trials for a heat treatment used to treat asthma,and too open the airways. The guy who's doing the trials is supposed to be from Gartnavel. Unfortunately don't have paper as left it at mum's.

I wonder if it's a similar sort of thing?

Hi ,I had heat treatment in the early 1970's both to my sinuses and my chest I also had ultra violet light treatment for my chest and that was before I was diagnosed as having cf.Can't remember if it done any good though.
