Sometimes the forum glitches, and forgets your sign-in info, at the most inconvenient moment it could choose to do so, just as you're trying to post a message!
I find that if I close the browser window and do something else for a couple of minutes, then go back to the forum it usually behaves itself. But, to save time, if I then need to type a long post I copy it to the clipboard just before posting, so I don't have to re-type it if the forum goes absent-minded on me again.
