My 5 year old little boy non cf,has a short attention span and has speech problems,he is 18 months behind in his speech,so a speech therapist told me.They also said he hasn't got any confidence in himself when he's talking.

Well anyway because of this, his school has given him the main part in the Christmas play,to try and boost his confidence. The play is gonna be "The snowman",so my little boy is....have you guessed it?

Yes that's right he's the 'snowman',he is making me feel very proud when he comes home and tells me what he has to do.

Love to all, from a very proud mummy .

Bless him! I hope he performs okay on the night! Mine is a Little Star (as in Twinkle Twinkle!) and I have an awful feeling one's little cherub will not perform in a church full of strangers!

Livvy,i thought that about my son 2 years ago,as he was playing the same as your little cherub,a star, then last year he was a shepherd and now this year the snowman.

aw I remember all this. I have photo of Tom in nursery. he played the part of Joseph aged 3. The night before he had been in hospital and had just started IVs but I managed to get him there and he did it with his arm in a splint. He is nearly 18 now!

That's wonderful - the arts can be such a fantastic way of bringing littl'uns out of their shells and giving them a confidence boost. Good on him, you're right to be very proud of you're little winter wonder!

your so right Oli. I hope being the snowman does the trick. Tom was almost referred to speech therapy as a littl'un but now is doing Drama A level. It certainly helps. I believe that dinners as a family really help them too.

have a wonderful season
