Hi just wondered if anyone had read the disgrace that was the story in the daily record about gordon browns baby having cf. It went on about it being a tragedy and they only had days of happiness before they found out. What is that all Bout? so people who have a baby that has cf cant be happy. Its rubbish i was so mad when I read that it that im writing to the paper to view my thoughts. My boyfriend has cf and I know for a fact that he is not a tragedy! hes amazing! Im so sick of all the publications about how bad cf is and expected life expectancy. as if its not hard enough for sufferers to cope with it without all that rammed down your throat all the time. Any thoughts?

Hi Im Matt 24 WCF
I have since read a few articles in the newspapers on CF since Gordon Browns son was diagnosed.
Personally I think all the articles once again show CF in a very negative way sadly and are written by people with no knowledge of what CF is.
I personally just laugh at the rubbish written because Ive always been able to lead a healthy life. It bugs me with all the wrong things being written and again all this is writen by people with second hand information.
So I agree totally with you post.

See now i Disagree, because i read a very accurate Article in my Local paper (Southend) Where they interviewed an 18 yr old WCF and her mum, and it gave a good balance of how crap it is, but also how we get on with life and still actually HAVE a life.

hi, nu generation, i just read your comment and realised you were talking about my mum and the interview she did the other day! i've just shown her what you wrote and its made her day! even though she says they misquoted her a bit, its good to know they got the message that not evrything in a pwcf's life is rubbish!
