Is a longline ment to leak when you bend your arm?

I have a longline in my arm about 2 inches down from my elbow. It's not that far in my arm as they couldn't get the full 20cm in so i only have about 5 cm in my arm.But everytime i bend my arm it leaks badly.

I've been in touch with my team in leeds, told them the situation and they told me to play it bye here.As it started to leak when i flushed it,but i carried on with my antibiotic and it stopped leaking, but when i bend my arm it is leaking again.

My team said all i can do is go upto A&E and let them put a venflon in,till i can get to them on monday or tuesday.

What would you guy's do?

I'm not a long ling person I usually get venflons.

What I can tell you though is when a Venflon leaks it means it's gubbed and need to be replaced, you can try and continue push through but it leaks out the antibiotic and bit of blood while some goes through.

how much does it leak, mine leeks a few times, thre was a hair line crack init, which was so bugging, and sometimes it was the tissue that got wet and well you know the rest, as long as its not leaking to much and doesnt look nasty, try and hold out to your actually cf team you can get hold of, they might beable to pull the line back abit just creased where you've been bending it! good luck!

I have been to A&E,i was in and out within an hour, which was good.As soon as i gave them the piece of paper to tell the nurses station why i was there,i was then put into a side room,a nurse came and saw then a really nice doctor came and saw me,and i mean he was nice,he actually seemed as so he know quite a bit about cf and long lines which i was very impressed with.As not many nurses or doctors in A&E know a lot about CF.
Well anyway i have a pink venflon in till i can get to my CF unit on tuesday,i just hope the venflon last's till then.
