Ok so its the forst of December and i was gonna wait unitoo 2 weeks into december to put my tree up, but we are going to do it tonight whoo hoo, Anyone else put theres up already? Is everyone ready for it? x

I can safely say, that I would rather eat what comes out of my dog's ar*se than put up a tree this early. I hate all the build up.

tree can't go up yet. we usually hang on till 2 weeks before..kids know my sanity is dependant on it!

We put our tree and decs up 12 days before, and keep them up 12 days after. x

I do normally wait untill a couple of days before my birthday on 13th but im feeling all christmassy so i think im gnna go fer it and do it tonight LOL ill probably be sick of them by 25th december though haha oh well, HoHoHo! LOL

How sad are we.

I love Christmas.

It's gonna be great this year coz it's our first 1 in our own place.

The tree and decs will go up a week before Xmas. If it went up now all the needles would of dropped off by Xmas and it would look like something from the forests around Chenobyl.

I do have an advent calendar up though - it came through the post free from a dog food company.

Out of interest, does anyone actually celebrate Christmas (as in it being a religious festival)?

I also have an advent calendar up, but it is for my son really. He seems to have a belief, so I always get him a nativity one and we'll discuss it. I can't stand the commercialism of it all.

Our only decoration so far is the gold wrapping paper I used on our fireplace to cover the bare space where our gas fire used to be. I won't be putting up a tree etc till much nearer Dec 25th.

I'm a Roman Catholic and do take a full and active part in Church services as I do throught the year.

Me too Andy. I love the Christmas services and all the build up. I suspect we are in the minority though!!

I agree Deb. People seem to forget what its really about.

LOL Jathy you made me laugh! I am not really getting into the Christmas spirit of things yet either. Its on tv too much and pi**ing me off! Its too commercial. Maybe its because I am not feeling well or because I just keep thinking about my tx but I don't feel very Christmasy and really cant get into it. Luckily my Dad doesn't like putting the tree up early so I don't have to look at that yet.

The good thing I like though is the things that are on at the Theatre over winter. Would love to see Chitty Bang Bang. Oh and love the food too!

I used to love Christmas, but the novelty is wearing off now that I'm an old f**t! I just can't be-bothered with it all - living with scrooge for over 15 year's seems to be rubbing off! However, I love to see the boys happy on Christmas day so all the hassle and harrassment and stress is worth it! No xmas deccy's in this house until after Center Parcs - 16th December!
