Cf Story and interviews

I have done 4 interviews today, and like frizzymum every time ive done one i think of lots of other things i should have mentioned.
Although i am very sad for what gordon Brown is going through, it can only bring much needed awareness, and possibly, further down the line, much needed funding. Just look at today for starters, its been mad, theres probably been more awareness brought today than in the last 10 years. At our house for one the phones never stopped ringing, and with ppeople that know us from work and school etc saying they never realised what it was like.!
So to those that think todays stories have been too negative: People will not dig into their pockets or pick the CFT to raise funds for if they think life is hunky dory.
Thanks Jill

im new to this! have a little boy age 7 with cf diagnosed at age of 2. have to say whilst sad for the Browns it can only do good for the future of all our children as more people become aware and hopefully in time lives will be improved. this is so nice to be able to speak with other parents! thanks lizzy.xxx

I have two children with CF 21 and 19. In Malvern where we live there are only a handful of PWCF. Do you think we should try and plug CF by contacting our local paper and making people aware of CF now that its been widely publicised since Gordon and Sarah Brown hit the headlines?

Hi Dawn,

It's great that you want to help. I suggest you contact Gemma Foy at the Trust as a starting point. She will be able to advise on whether your local papers have been in touch. If not, she may also have some advice on what key messages to bear in mind. She's on gfoy@cftrust.org.uk
