Hi
I did a radio interview today and it sounded awful. They came to my house and we spoke about medication and how it affects our lives, they just wanted a few snippets for the news but i got tongue tied and i am not feeling very well as i have a sore throat and bunged up nose so i sounded absolutely dreadful. i cringe when ever i hear it.
I think i may just switch the radio off. I will how ever try to watch everyone else who is on the television tonight.
take care
jrt.

You're probably suffering from 'own voice dislike syndrome'. I hate the sound of my voice when heard played back! I have to sit through my 'This Morning' recording later and, I'm dreading it! Don't worry

I'm sure you did a great job, don't worry. Like the previous post, I think its probably just a case of not liking hearing your own voice. I don't think I could listen to myself on the radio or on TV, though very thought makes me cringe. You were brave enough to do it, well done

Don't fret. I'm with the others on own voice syndrome. I hate mine. Thanks for being brave.

I'm sure you made a really big difference in helping high-light cf to as many people as possible. Don't worry about your voice i'm sure you sounded fine and anyway that would help listeners understand more if you had a bit of a cold and you could hear this in your voice. Everyone with cf who have done some sort of media coverage about cf at this moment with Gordon Brown's child having cf, have really helped and hopefully encourage more donations for research what cf people desperately need. Well done to you for doing it. from sunseasand.

When we were on Anglia TV last week, I HATED the sound of my own voice! I really did sound as if I had a pole up my bum!

Ah well. All for a good cause!

JRT. Guess what? I was pleased to hear you on the radio!!! coz I was the one on that station (105.4) just before you and believe me I did not like the sound of my voice (possibly because the interview was at an "un-godly hour" inbetween physio and getting breakfasts LOL, I think you sounded OK - well done
Take care
