My Daughter will be on Newsround today

Just to say that the BBC Newsround team have just left our flat filming my 12 year old daughter Jessica and talking to her about Cystic Fibrosis. They wanted to have a piece that focussed on a child living with CF rather than talking about Fraser Brown in particular. Not sure how it will edit together but I hope it will be an informative and useful little bit of filming. Please watch!! Thanks, jtimum

meant to say that it will be on BBC1 at 5.25pm and then on CBBC at 6.25pm! thanks!

I for one will watch, seems like cf is getting an awful lot of coverage since the announcement of the Browns baby, just a pity it has taken their diagnosis to highlight cf

Excellent report, well done Jessica! What a lovely young lady you are.

With all these families on TV and the radio today, I can't imagine there'll be anyone in the UK who doesn't know what CF is!

Well done jessica, you came across very well. You had a wonderful clear, beautifully-spoken voice and came across very intellectual. Your parents must be very proud of you. Hope you are keeping well I know this time of year can be a bit hard. My son is 14 years old and he has a bad cough at the moment, so he may have to go into hospital if psuedomas is picked up. A friend of mine pointed out the coverage on Radio 2 on Jeramy Vine this afternoon, and I felt a lot of the callers were coming from a CF=death perpective and being very negative about PWCF's prognosis.

It upset me a little because I think babies being born with CF today have the best possible chance of living a full, active life than ever before and I thought it was a little too much emphasis on the negatives.
