I go to nottingham. I dont have a positive view of it really at this moment in time. I will say make sure you take a book to clinic as although you think it maybe relatively quick it wont be. It can take upto an hour just to get your lung function done. Purely because the team is way understaffed and they put to many people into clinic.
you'll most likely go on flemming ward. Nottingham dont have a specific CF unit, its just a general chest ward where the average age when I stayed once was about 70. good news about the ward is you get your own room with a tv, patientline system, fridge and en suite. Which is rather quite large i thought!.
Not been asked to do the trial but then i dont take tobi. My sister does and she has hers in the eflow and has done for ages. When i next speak to her i will ask if she's been asked to take part in the study at all.
hopefully someone else can give you a more positive spin on notts, but im not impressed with the adult side really. ive always been at notts for both paeds and adult care. Although must say glynis and fran the cf nurses are good at what they do even if fran is abit ditzy sometimes.
