Your definately not alone on this. There's a certain member of staff like that at NGH. It annoys me greatly.

This genious reckons I should be working and getting no benefits, even though I can hardley walk, and they still won't provide a wheelchair. And even then, I still wouldn't be able to work, as I have the same pain and weakness in my arms as my legs, and would need someone pushing me all day.

I have a feeling that it's because they've seen people in worse states than me.
There also whinging about my weight and the fact I lost 2kg in under a week, and yet won't help me get money so I can actually afford food.

Gone were the days when a trip to the hospital was a day trip. Now it's just something to make me go grrrrr alot.

I hope you manage to get things sorted hun. Although can I just point out, through all this pain and suffering. One day the doc will suddenly wake up, and then appologising profusily to you. Which gives you a second enjoyment as they then start questioning if there in the right profession, as they didn't spot this sooner.

Hey ian i know exactly how you feel. Everytime you go upto gartneval they always turn round and say your fine, trying to get ivs is like comiting a crime with them. We know our own bodies best and know how we feel. Ive been feelin rubbish for about 5-6 weeks now, had 2weeks off ivs and now im on more oral septrin. My chest is still rubbish but they said im fine. How can i be fine if i feel like total rubbish, i think they should try to help us alot more. Anyway rant over lol, i needed to get that out. I hope your ok ian, chat soon.xx

They can't put us on IVs all the time though even though we know it's what we need.

If you keep getting more IVs after a course of them then they won't work as good and eventually won't have much affect at all.

I've been on Septrin so much it hardly does its job anymore, so I definetly don't want the IVs to go the same way.

That's very true. But if you havent had ivs for a good few months i dont think it would be such a bad thing to put you on them, if you feel so bad.

But it would be a different story if you were just off them, then your right it wouldn't be a good idea to put you straight back on them. Cos in time you will become resistant to them and that wont be too good.
