Although you feel for Gordon Brown and his family, I think it is a slight benefit for the rest of us ! For someone in his high position do you think he might change the laws on CF patients having to pay for prescriptions???????

As was said last night, statements such as this- although meant only as 'if someone has to have it, something good may aswell come out of it...', are not a good move when this forum is likely to be recieving a lot of public attention. I would imagine there will be considerable limits to the amount of influence that can be exerted over such things anyway, due to the nature of politics- and the fear of appearing to be acting in self interest.

I was on Sky news thismorning talking about CF and what it means for us etc etc and wishing Gordon Brown well......i wouldn't have been on Sky talking about it without his son's diagnosis. This will have an amazing effect on awareness and fundraising. xxx
