I would just like to wish the Brown family all the best. It doesn't matter who you are, this horrible disease can affect any family. I myself have CF, I'm 43, and had a double lung transplant in March 2005. I have a 13 year old son who also has CF, and keeps fairly good health. Hasn't been in hospital since he was 3 years old, which is lucky for us!

It is a struggle getting your head round all the treatment, physio etc, but by now it will be getting like a second nature for you all.

Best of luck, enjoy your family and don't let CF rule!

i firstly would like to add to what everyone else has put
by sending my best wishes to the brown family
next on a purely selfish note as a parent of a ypwcf. i hope the care of all people that suffer from the awfull illness will dramatically improve now there is someone on the inside (you might say)
i apologise if anyone is offended by my post
but cf has been neglegted for far to long

Just want to wish you all the best. I am an adult with cf who generally keeps quite well. I hope that you manage to get your head around all the treatment quickly and I hope that Fraser stays as well as possible for the future.
Enjoy life, best of luck

Every time I hear of a newly diagnosed child it takes me back 14 years to when Nim was diagnosed. If you had told me then that she would be a happy, well adjusted, teenager who is in all the sports teams at school and has more energy than the rest of the family put together I wouldn't have believed you BUT it is true and I am so proud of all her achievements.
Take heart that there are fantastic people around to support you and your family. Treatments are improving all the time and little Fraser is lucky to have such an obviously loving family who will insist on the best!!
Maggie

is extremeley well (thank god) it is hard some days but it has become such a part of our lives now that we just get on with it! you both will too in time.
