Hi
I have had a crazy day today. I get a call from nursery to say that my little girl wcf had a high temperature and struggling to breath so naturally i rush to nursery where she is very warm with a rattle on her chest and struggling to talk she sounded very hoarse and croaky so i ring the outreach who advise to take her to the hospital. Just over two hours i waited to be seen by a doctor and i was only seen then cos the nurse rang him and told him how long i had been waiting, but the funny thing is that while we were waiting the rattle had disappeared and her voice was back to normal not a croak to be heard so when the doctor finally did arrive it looked as though there was nothing wrong with her. I felt like a real idiot. What i dont understand is she looked and sounded so poorly so how come within a couple of hours she was fine. I just dont understand it.
Anyway thanks for letting me whittle on, Hope everyone elses lpwcf are all ok.

Aww I have complete sympathy for you!

About a month ago we were in and out of our local hospital as Joe had symptoms and then when we got to the hospital he was fine

How is your daughter now? I hope she is feeling better and that the rattle was nothing. Plus its always better to be safe than sorry especially with cf (our nurse had to tell us this as she saw our son was ill and then saw how he perked up in the hospital).

Fingers crossed for you and your daughter (and at least your not on IVs )

I had a couple of episodes like that when my daughter was a toddler. Still non the wiser as to why it happened, Might have been an allergic reaction to something. One Barbies hair seemed to trigger it as I remember.
