You would think, me asking for help on a charity event, someone would reply helping me out, cf is a charity close to my heart and i want to raise money to help find a cure, non of you are interested, could you please tell me why that is?

I'm busy.

People do different things all the time to help CF world. Someone with the knowledge you seek may well respond, but if you have a go they may well ignore you.

Crikey, you only posted yesterday, give it time

Also many people that might be able to help you might not be able to get to a computer due to health reasons i.e being in hospital. The best thing would be find out who the regional event organiser is in your area and they might be able to help. Once I am home tonight and have finished work I might be able to find it out.

I also found this that might be able to help you in the mean time

Houghy has beaten me to it! Try the regional fundraiser as they will have loads of experience!!

I don't know what your link with CF is but Im sure all cfers here really appreciate you raising money and the profile of cf.

I can only speak for myself but I find that trying to get on with life with Cf doing all the treatments and working part-time as well is very time consuming and exhausting so though I have done stuff in the past,I have not alot of energy left for fund-raising at the mo! It doesn't help implying that because I can't help you that I don't want people to raise money to find a cure - I'm depressed enough already, thanks!!!

Very best wishes for your fund-raising - hope you get some help from the CF trust.

R xx

Chill out and read the posts on this forum and then think about how 'annoyed' you really are that no-one replied to you within 24 hours. There are three people who've posted that they thought they were getting a double lung transplant this week only to be knocked back and someone else who is seriously ill in hospital. Several other people are on the transplant list and deperately wishing they'd get called. Annoyed? Get some perspective.

Most people with CF have no experience of long distance bike riding so your best bet would probably be to contact your regional CF fundraising co-ordinator for some advice and tips on how to organise your trip.

Good luck.

Hi there Maria. I Think its fab that you are doing this bike ride for CF.

Hope it all comes together for you. I dont really know if I can give you much advice about the event but as far as raising sponsorship, make sure you ask everyone who sponsors you to get their friends and relatives to do so and theirs and so on and so on so it creates a chain and gets the sponsorship rolling in!

Best of Luck!
