I try and contain myself until December too!

I was driving back from the hospital yesterday after dark and saw several houses covered in outdoor lights and with illuminated or inflatable santas, sleighs, reindeer and polar bears (?!). Some looked okay but others were completely garish; one or two of the inflatable climbing santas had expressions that were totally demonic and sure to scare the wits out of any passing child!

You are more than welcome to join my campaign; you can't beat the real thing

I'm going to Florida for a couple of weeks on Friday (touch wood!) and enjoy seeing the way Floridians get so competitive with their outdoor Christmas lights. The local papers even print guides to which residential areas have made the most effort in dressing their houses so that people can drive over and take a look. Some of the decorations are funny too: Santa's sleigh drawn by pink flamingos for instance!
