Very occasionally, when my chest is bad, I start to get that sick-when-I-should-be-hungry feeling. In my case it's because I've got a stomach full of sputum, caused by the difficulty I have spitting during physio while I am really unwell. Food buffers it, but when my stomach is empty all that yuck irritates my stomach.
There's only one cure for me - I let myself be sick. I feel OK to do it because it only happens once in a blue moon, but do NOT do this if it becomes regular, or for any reason other than swallowed sputum!
I drink a very large amount of warm water, and go and stand in front of the toilet. My stomach does the rest. I don't stick my fingers down my throat or anything, and if I'm not sick enough to throw up then I give up after a minute or two. If I do throw up I then wash my mouth out and drink a large amount of warm milk (with creon), and then find my appetite is back.
Richard.
