I can't see a link for this on here anymore, so I'm adding one for anyone new who doesn't know about it and it's glorious scent and absolutely beautiful flowers.

I've sent out 15 letters today to Garden Centres I picked out of 2 Yellow Pages, so here's hoping someone picks up on it and decides to stock it.

Thanks Livvy! Good Luck with your letters, I will be waiting in hope with you for a positive response. I hate that waiting time.

If anyone else fancies joining Livvy, Dibbles and Grandma Helen in approaching a garden centre to stock the rose I can give them a template letter written by our very own fab frizzymum! Three centre are now to stock the rose!!!

Just to back up Livvy, the Growing Hope rose is beautiful and smells fab.

Actually, if everyone grabbed a Yellow Pages, looked up "Garden Centre" and printed off a few standardised letters, as already suggested by Catherine, and added in a bit of personal blurb, we'd just about cover the country between us! Under starters orders please peeps - off we go a promoting a lovely Rose!

I was just about to place an order in time for x-mas and wanted the potted ones, but it says these are only available april-july. Does anyone know if they can still be sent potted as it lets you select the 3 potted ones for £29.95? Don't want to order that but not get it..... should I just order the bare root ones? Also has anyone had any delivered recently, how long is delivery taking?

Thanks for any help anyone can give

I received 3 potted one's about 2 weeks ago which I'd ordered a few months ago. They are available to be sent now in November's shipment so don't see why you can't have the potted one's? Maybe you could ring to clarify.

If I had a few grey cells left I'd be very dangerous! I keep phoning up the local garden centre to see if they have had a delivery of Growing Hope roses yet,it didn't cross my mind to phone World of Roses, to find out when they will be delivering to garden centres. Thanks for that, Livvy.

Thanks also Livvy for suggesting I add a few words about CF in my Ebay items to sell - most people are rounding up to the next pound when sending me a cheque now, all proceeds going to CFT.

Cupcake, I have just ordered for christmas pressies too but I got gift certificates instead. I didn't think my friends would be too pleased about having to do any gardening in the festive period. You can then choose when your friends/family receive their actual rose. If you still want to get the plants themselves all pre ordered ones have been delivered in pots so I shouldn't think you will have a problem.

Helen, I think Otter Nurseries will be receiving their plants at the begining of December. I will double check on that for you.

Catherine, Thanks for that. We're holding two CF fundraising stalls locally on 1st and 2nd December - it would be great to be able to advertise that the rose is available to buy at the local garden centre.

Cheers, Helen

Growing Hope rose now available at our local garden centre - yeh! The plants look really healthy - but hope they soon sell out of them! Also hoping to get local press involved next week, not sure how to go about that, though.

Helen

P.S The Honiton group of CF mums and grandmas raised £600+ at two CF fundraising stalls this weekend - public incredibly generous with their donations.

Helen,

In terms of getting local press involved, contact Gemma Foy on gfoy@cftrust.org ....although she may still be recovering from last week! If for any reason she can't help, let me know - details on profile - and I'll help.

Thanks for that frizzymum. Catherine kindly got in touch with Gemma, who has since emailed me.

Hoping to get some publicity for the rose locally and a friend's gorgeous 7yr old granddaughter wcf is keen to have her photo taken at the local garden centre for the article, so it's all looking good.

Thanks, Helen

Just wanted to let you all know that Gordon and Sarah Brown have received a Growing Hope rose from all in the CF community, with the message, this rose represents all our hope for the future.
I hope you don't mind it coming from us all and Thanks to World of Roses for organising it.
