hey there,

Its true what you say. It annoys the hell out of me that people don't take the time to research cf properly and get the facts it misleads people who don't know about cf. Try not to let it get you down though. Its my boyfriend who has cf not me and when i wanted to find out about it so i had a good understanding my boyfriewnd and myself were frustrated with the TV shows giving misleading info. Hope ya keep smiling best wishes Tina x x x

i agree people do not research CF enough, however Cf is not very well publicised, so unless you have a friend with CF or a family member, most people are totally oblivious to it.

That is what annoys me the most

ive only seen people talk about CF (Cystic Fibrosis) on a few Programs, like Easteders (Deanos brother Jimbo had it), Gordon Brown (MP, Chancellor) son has it, and also on Holby City or Casualty, i also have seen The Nine Lives of Alice Martineau,

is there any other programs ive not seen or heard about yet that ive typed here above

Yer I know what you mean! In Eastenders the other night (I think it was alrady mentioned here) but all they said was that Kevins (i think) son had it and he died of it! How horrible is that! I hate the fact that it's not publicises enough, and when it is it ALWAYS hsa to be negative ... I mean I know CF isn't exactly a good thing, but they don't have t be so insensitive about it

well i don't think they're necessarily being 'insensitive' about it, and although they ARE negative (sometimes badly so) I think thats the only way to get it advertised. If u publicize it as a soft disease which can be easily treated, no1 will take any notice! I just hate it when they say wrong of irrelevant things about the disease on TV etc thats never going to raise any awareness lol
