They say IT happens to everyone at some point... well it's happened twice recently and i am concerned it it could be related to side-effects of any drugs i am taking.
Have any of you CF guys had this problem, i'm really worrying and over-thinking over this and need some advice!!

Cheers

I think it's more likely to be the over thinking you're doing that's causing the IT rather any side effects from drugs mate. When I've had this problem I think of Felicity Kendall in wellies getting all muddy in a tight jumper.

If that doesn't help you could blame your partner. Say she doesn't turn you on anymore and that it wouldn't hurt if she made more of an effort to please you.

Try introducing custard too. See what you can get away with before she twigs it's actually your fault not hers. I was able to persuade a girl to call me tex once. Awesome.

Thanks for the reply RRH, but i meant the other 'IT'...

the "soldier retreating to the foxhole" IT.

Yeah that's what I thought you meant. I think. Hang on...this problem right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ecBl2HK60Y

We're not really talking in code anymore are we.

Anyway, on a more serious note if we are talking about the same issue, it may be down to poor blood circulation. if you're on IV's at the mo and have infections and so on, I'm pretty sure this can be a contributing factor.

Just to clarify, the wellies thing excites me rather dulls my arousal. Perhaps I have different tastes.

Taxi.

Man that advert used to scare me as a kid. I think it's 'cos it sounded so much like the theme from Chorlton and the Wheelies, which gave me plasticene-witch-based nightmares for years.

Anyway, hey scartissue. Like you say, this is something that most guys face at some point, which means it's actually more likely NOT to be medical - there's a lot more psychology going on down there than people think. However, if you are worried that it's becoming an issue it might be worth looking into possible physical factors - ie, is anything mentioned in the side-effects of the drugs you're on? do you have cf-related diabetes? do you have any problems with blood-pressure? If there's a particular thing you think might be the (or a) cause, and the problem continues, it's probably worth bringing up - however awful the thought is - with your medical team.

My knuckles are tense just reading this back; it seems to be one of those areas men just are NOT supposed to talk about. Luckily I have a malfunctioning embarrassment gland so don't much care either way, but if you're feeling awkward discussing things in public, feel free to MSN me on bouncypuppy@yahoo.com.

Ooooh no wait, I don't think it's a Mr Soft problem as I just read the anti-depressant thread. It's a 'never-ending story' type problem I think.

I haven't had much experience with this particular mans issue. It would seem your Anti-Dee's may be causing this and as you say, may well be adding to your depression in the process. What a vicious circle!

It's a complex game isn't it, sex. I'm glad I'm retired from it in all fairness. I've saved a fortune in clover.

Um anyway...let me think. I have actually faked an orgasm Meg Ryan stylee in the past if I've had to be up early for work or I've just lost interest and that magnificent champagne moment just isn't happening. Not often though as my soldiers tended to be the really enthusiastic kind rather than the sort of French type soldier who likes to hang back and no even fight at all if possible.

You may find that one day it just happens and everything you've stored up recently will burst out. I think the key here is not to panic. If it really does bother you I'd have a word with your Docs and buy some safety goggles.

May the force be with you.

You were right with the the vid, which i found well funny by the way.

I guess I'll just see how things go and talk to my team about my meds and maybe see my GP.

Cheers everyone

Just stop thinking about Margaret Thatcher .. you'll b ok then

on a serious note: some anti-depressants will restrict blood flow to the groin, you can be prescribed other tablets to counter-act the problem..

the only thing is, if u got a bird like mine.. she will never let u know an hour beforehand so you can take the tablet in time
