Hi everyone, ive just come out of hospital had my port changed yesterday.i had my old one took out on left side and had new one on the right.everyting went ok. i was worrying about it for ages lol i had a local and sedation and i cant remember a thing.best way! im just sore now and bit swollen.
does anyone know how long it takes to heal?

Hi Jodie,
I remember you from New Cross hospital, believe we bumped into each other once or twice!
Glad to hear it all went well for you. I had my steri strips taken off and the port accessed about 10 days after surgery- and it was nicely healed about 4 weeks later.
