Chief Executive: Rosie Barnes

Rosie Barnes was a Member of Parliament (SDP) for Greenwich between 1987 and 1992. Prior to that she was involved in market research and marketing.

Her interests in Parliament included health, education and the problems of children in care. She joined the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in 1996, after four years as Director of WellBeing, formerly Birthright.

She takes a keen interest in the NHS, particularly in relation to the clinical care of those with Cystic Fibrosis. She is also committed to the development of effective gene therapy for Cystic Fibrosis.

Chairman: Dr Jim Littlewood

Dr Jim Littlewood qualified in medicine at Leeds University in 1956. Since 1994 his professional time has been spent entirely on CF. He was a member of the Research and Medical Advisory Committee (1983-1988) and accepted an invitation to chair that committee from April 1995, shortly before he retired as Director of the Regional Paediatric CF Clinic at St James's University Hospital in Leeds.

In July 2003 he was appointed Chairman of the CF Trust. Dr Littlewood has been one of the main instigators in initiating newborn screening for Cystic Fibrosis.
